Request TLC Help
In the Teaching & Learning Center, we provide pedagogical support for individuals, departments, and programs. Learning designers at º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø can meet with full-time, part-time (adjunct), and dual-credit instructors during business hours, at your location on main campus, or ours. If you have a laptop computer, please bring it with you, or let us know ahead of time that you’d like to borrow one during your consultation. We also regularly consult with instructors via Zoom or Teams.
Request a TLC Ideation Session
Meet with a Learning Designer and spark new ideas for your teaching! These one-on-one or small group conversations are relaxed, creative, and centered on you - your goals, your students, and your teaching style. Bring your curiosity and we will listen and identify how best we can help. We can meet with you for five minutes, an hour, or more. We can meet once, or on a recurring basis. Typically, for a first consultation, 30 minutes is an ideal timeframe in which we can identify your needs and establish a plan to act.
Request a Class Visit & Debrief
Would you like a Learning Designer from the TLC to come observe your course and give you feedback? This is the appointment type for you! We can schedule to attend your class and share with you feed-forward (instead of feedback!), ideas for student engagement, teaching with technology, and more! After the TLC observes your course, there will be a 30-minute debrief at the end. If your class is longer than an hour, please contact us at tlc@csi.edu to schedule an extended class visit.
Request a Canvas Course Review
Do you have ideas for your Canvas course design, but aren’t sure how to put them into practice? Do you have points of frustration, or even points you’re especially proud of? We’d love to see it all! Please invite us to collaborate with you on Canvas course design. Talking about DesignPlus, wayfinding, backward design, course accessibility, and supporting students are some of our favorite things to do!
Program Review Consultation
Partner with a Learning Designer to shine a light on your program’s story. Together, we’ll look at what’s working, where growth opportunities shine, and how to capture your program’s impact in ways that matter. From mapping outcomes to crafting a compelling narrative, these conversations turn program review into a chance to celebrate progress and spark fresh ideas for the future.
Request Something Else
How else may we help? Please be specific, and we’ll respond right away. Examples of other help we can provide include group, individual, or departmental training on topics related to teaching with technology, learning design, pedagogy, and more.
