Financial Aid & Scholarship Timeline 2026-2027

Please refer to the financial aid & scholarship timeline to ensure you’re on the right path for funding your education.

OCTOBER 2026
October 1 FAFSA Opens for 2027-2028  
October 1 º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø General Scholarship Application Available.
Apply in your self-service portal via Myº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø once you are admitted to the college http://mycsi.csi.edu 
October 1  Idaho Launch & Idaho Opportunity Scholarship Application Available for Idaho Residents  
NOVEMBER 2026
November 1  27-28 Aid offer notifications begin for students. Watch your º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø email for notification and login to your self-service portal via Myº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø to review financial aid & scholarship offers. http://mycsi.csi.edu 
FEBRUARY 2027
February 1 

27-28 Accept all aid. For loans complete the Master Promissory Note (MPN) at 
  and Entrance Counseling at  
Complete these important tasks for funds to be disbursed to your student account by tuition and fee due date. Note (LOANS ONLY) MPN and Entrance Counseling do not have to be completed/signed each semester.
Students and families should review My Finances in their self-service portal via Myº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø to make sure expenses are covered.   
 MARCH 2027
March 1 Priority scholarship and financial aid application consideration – To help students and their families make the most of available funding, we encourage all fall applicants to submit their FAFSA by this date.
Students who are admitted and complete their FAFSA by March 1, will receive full consideration for all º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø general scholarships and financial aid opportunities. 
March 1  Idaho Opportunity Scholarship Deadline.
March 15 Summer financial aid review begins for students taking summer courses. Check your º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø email for your aid notification and log in to your self-service portal via Myº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø to see your financial aid and scholarship offers.
 APRIL 2027
April 15 Idaho Launch Application Due  
 JUNE 2027
June 1 Students who are not enrolled will forfeit their Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) and any scholarships that do not require a high school final transcript. Remaining FSEOG and scholarship funds will be reallocated to enrolled students.
 JULY 2027
July 1 Scholarship Recipients – Submit your final high school transcript to º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø to finalize your scholarship.
Another round of awards will continue for students who haven’t accepted theirs yet.
AUGUST 2027
Throughout
August		 • Review finances to make sure tuition and fees, room and board and book expenses are covered.
• Enrollment Specialist are available to assist students and families in determining options.
• Student statements are available for student and family review.
• Setup refund preference with NelNet via your self-service portal via Myº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø. Need help?

August 1 Fall 2027 Financial Aid Document Date – Submitting your financial aid documents by this date helps ensure your aid, including scholarships can be offered on time. To receive funds by the tuition and fee due date, students should review, accept/decline their aid, and complete needed steps such as Entrance Counseling and the MPN.
August 1 Students receiving scholarships should complete their registration and accept any pending offers. Students who are not fully registered may lose their scholarship, and the funds will be reallocated to other eligible students.
August 1 Students not enrolled full-time will have their aid offered reduced.
August 1 After this date only enrolled students will be packaged federal financial aid.
August 1 Submit your Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) & Waiver of Non-Resident Tuition (WNRT) applications by this date to ensure priority consideration

August 23 First Disbursement/Credit to Student Accounts
August 26  Stipends for federal aid and scholarships begin.
SEPTEMBER 2027
September 1  General Scholarship Application Closes.
September 15 30 Day Delay Disbursement/Credit to student accounts for student loans.
September 21 Stipends for 30 Day Delay begin.
OCTOBER 2027
October 1 FAFSA opens for 2028-2029.
October 1  º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø General Scholarship Application Available for 2027-2028. Apply in your self-service portal via Myº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø http://mycsi.csi.edu : Idaho Launch & Idaho Opportunity Scholarship Application Available for Idaho Residents  
October 12 Mid-Semester Disbursement/Credit to student accounts for student loans.
October 19 Stipends for Mid-Semester loans begin.
DECEMBER 2027
December 1 Submit Spring 2028 Financial Aid Documents– Submitting your financial aid documents by this date helps ensure your aid, including scholarships can be offered on time. To receive funds by the tuition and fee due date, students should review, accept/decline their aid, and complete needed steps such as Entrance Counseling and the MPN.
December 1 Priority Processing Date - Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) & Waiver of Non-Resident Tuition (WNRT) Applications Due. /_files/pdf/financial-aid/western-undergraduate-exchange.pdf 
December 15  Students receiving scholarships should complete their registration and accept any pending awards. Students who are not fully registered will have their awards removed and the funds will be redistributed to other eligible students. 
 JANUARY 2028
January 24 Spring Semester Disbursement/Credit to student accounts.
January 27 Stipends for Spring Semester begin.
 FEBRUARY 2028
February 17 30 Day Delay Disbursement/Credit to student accounts for student loans.
February 22 Stipends for 30 Day Delay begin.
MARCH 2028
March 14 Mid-Semester Disbursement/Credit to student accounts for student loans.
March 23 Stipends for Mid-Semester loans begin.
